NewLeaf Symbiotics Announces First Sale of Products

In February 2018, NewLeaf Symbiotics, which produces and sells Methylotrophic bacteria products for agriculture, announced its first sale of products. In recent news, NewLeaf successfully closed a $30M Series C round led by Monsanto Growth Ventures and Otter Capital in July of 2017. This round was also joined by Lewis & Clark Ventures, Rockport Capital, Open Prairie Ventures, among other investors.The company will be using this funding to commercialize their seed treatment as well as several products for soybeans, wheat, peanuts, and other crops. 

Formerly known as Trophomax, NewLeaf has been a longstanding supporter of the Ag innovation showcase since 2012, the year they presented. Founded in the Danforth Science center, the company has sinced moved to BRDG park in St. Louis.
