Energid Technologies Receives Funding From NASA

Energid Technologies, a 2012 Showcase Alum, has received funding from the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). On a typical space mission, many conditions are poorly understood, and conditions on lunar and planetary surfaces can be difficult to duplicate physically. With the NASA funding, Energid is developing a new robot simulation that accommodates uncertainty and discovers exceptional behavior during mission planning for lunar and planetary rovers.

Energid’s Actin software brings enabling tools and capability to this project. The Actin software is a powerful control framework and operating system for commercial, industrial, and mission critical robots that is sold as a cross platform application and extensible software toolkit. Energid Technologies develops robotic systems and products for the aerospace, agriculture, transportation, defense, and medical industries. Energid specializes in the control, simulation, and sensing of complex systems.
